Ingredients For Making Banana Cake Recipe

  • 1 ½ cup mixed flour
    ½ tsp sodium hydrogen carbonate
    1 cup soft refined sugar, tightly packed
    ½ cup oil
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 ½ cup mashed ripe bananas (approx. three giant bananas)
    Zest from ½ Associate in Nursing orange

    Chocolate and Orange Frosting:

    100g butter, softened
    1 ½ cup powdered sugar
    2 Tbsp cocoa
    Juice from approx.½ orange

    Process For Preparing Banana Cake Recipe

    Heat the oven to 170°C (bake). Grease and line the bottom of a 22cm cake tin with baking paper.

    Sift mix and sodium hydrogen carbonate into a bowl. Stir in refined sugar. Build a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add oil, crushed eggs, mashed bananas and orange peel. Combine all the ingredients to mix. Pour into the cake tin.

    Bake it for 45-50 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean.

    Leave among the tin upto 10 minutes before turning onto a wire rack to cool down. Once cold ice with chocolate and orange icing.

    Chocolate and Orange Frosting:

    Cream the softened butter till pale. Drill sifted powdered sugar and cocoa adding enough fruit juice till icing is soft and spreadable.
